Chemical Health Risk Assessment
CHRA under USECHH 2000 by a DOSH-registered assessor, with exposure monitoring and medical surveillance where required.
Learn more about Chemical Health Risk AssessmentEvery DOSH occupational health assessment your factory needs — chemicals, ventilation, noise, ergonomics, indoor air and psychosocial — conducted by registered assessors and managed through to controls by one team.
Most factory compliance programmes are strong on safety — guarding, permits, fire, machinery — and thin on health. Yet a large share of DOSH's regulations deal with health: chemical exposure under USECHH 2000, noise under the Noise Exposure Regulations 2019, indoor air under the ICOP 2010, and ergonomic and psychosocial risks under the general duty in section 18B of OSHA 1994.
Many of these assessments must be carried out by someone registered with DOSH for that specific work — an assessor, a hygiene technician, an occupational health doctor. Sorting out which applies, who can do it and when it is next due is where many sites lose track.
ProSafe handles that. Registered assessments are conducted by the appropriately DOSH-registered person; ProSafe scopes them, schedules them, and stays to implement the controls — for factories across Johor Bahru, Pasir Gudang, Tebrau, Senai, Kulai and Iskandar Puteri.
Instead of separate vendors for CHRA, noise, LEV and IAQ — each with its own report format and due dates — one register of every occupational health obligation on your site, and one team accountable for keeping it current.

Enquire about Psychosocial Risk AssessmentWe are straightforward about who does what. Each registered assessment is conducted by a DOSH-registered assessor, hygiene technician or occupational health doctor appropriate to it, and your report carries that person's name and registration number.
What ProSafe adds is everything around the assessment: working out which apply to your site, preparing the data before anyone arrives, combining site visits where it makes sense, and — most importantly — implementing the recommendations so the next assessment shows improvement rather than the same findings.
Every obligation goes into one register with its due date, so CHRA reviews, LEV tests, audiometric retests and IAQ reassessments are arranged before they lapse rather than discovered after.
We review your processes, HIRARC and existing reports, and tell you which assessments apply and in what order.
Each assessment conducted by the appropriately DOSH-registered person, with site visits combined where practical.
Recommendations ranked and implemented with your team — ventilation, PPE, workstation changes, procedures, training.
Every review, retest and reassessment date held in one place, so nothing lapses between cycles.
Industrial hygiene is the part of occupational safety and health concerned with the workplace environment's effect on health — chemicals, noise, ventilation, air quality, ergonomics and psychosocial factors. In Malaysia most of it is set by regulations and codes under OSHA 1994, and many of the assessments must be done by people registered with DOSH.
Registered assessments are conducted by a DOSH-registered assessor, hygiene technician or occupational health doctor appropriate to each one. ProSafe scopes the work, manages the engagement and turns findings into controls on your floor. Your reports carry the name and registration number of the registered person who conducted the assessment.
Usually with whatever your HIRARC and your processes point to. Sites using solvents, adhesives or other chemicals hazardous to health start with a CHRA. Loud processes point to a Noise Risk Assessment. Heavy manual handling points to an ergonomic assessment. A short site walk is normally enough for us to tell you which apply and in what order.
Section 18B of OSHA 1994 requires employers to assess the risks their work creates, and DOSH's Guidelines on Psychosocial Risk Assessment and Management at the Workplace 2024 set out how psychosocial risks — workload, job control and support — are expected to be assessed. The guidelines use a screening questionnaire, an employer checklist and a Psychosocial Trained Person to run the process.
Often, yes. Walkthroughs, data collection and scheduling can be shared, and some measurements can be taken on the same production days. Each assessment still produces its own report by the appropriately registered person, but combining them reduces disruption and cost.
Environmental obligations under DOE — stack emission, effluent, boundary noise — are covered separately under environmental monitoring.
We manage industrial hygiene programmes for factories across Johor Bahru, Pasir Gudang, Tebrau, Plentong, Masai, Skudai, Senai, Kulai, Iskandar Puteri and Gelang Patah. Every assessment is carried out on site, during normal operations.
Tell us your processes, chemicals and headcount. We will tell you which occupational health assessments apply, which are overdue, and what order to tackle them in.
